National Historic Landmark-William H. McGuffey Boyhood Home Site

From 1802 to about 1817, this was the home of William Holmes McGuffey (1800-1873), college professor, and author, whose elementary school texts--the ECLECTIC READERS--were used for more than 70 years in schools in every part of the United States.
