National Historic Landmark - Woodchuck Lodge

From 1910 to 1921, naturalist and author Burroughs used this summer retreat for working and entertaining friends.

During these years Burroughs was the nation's recognized authority on the out-of-doors, instilling in his readers --a deep affection for nature seasoned by genuine understanding--.
