The Nez Perce traditionally used two routes to cross the Bitterroot Mountains into Montana: the k'useyneisskit (Road to the Buffalo) K'useyneisskit - Lolo Trail and the kise'iskit (Camping Trail) - the Southern Nez Perce Trail, which begins here and ends in Conner, Montana.
