Clearwater Battle
(Mile 21.2 Idaho State Highway 13)
As you drive along the US Highway 12, venture to the second battle site known as the Clearwater Battlefield . Take the Idaho Highway 13 exit. Drive through the towns of Kooksia and Stites. The Clearwater Battle is interpreted at a roadside pullout on the west side of Idaho Highway 13, approximately 2 miles south of Stites, Idaho. The battle site itself is located on private property, making it inaccesssible to the public.
