Oakland Presbyterian Church

Organized 1834

In continuous use as a place of worship except for a period between 1861 and 1865 when it was used as a hospital for a contingent of General T.J. (Stonewall) Jackson's troops encamped nearby.

A monument in the churchyard marks the graves of many who died in the church hospital.

Marker can be reached from Selma Low Moor Road (Virginia Route 696) 0.2 miles west of Oakland Drive (Virginia Route 1002), on the right when traveling west.
