Church of New Brunswick
granted men of this
community permission
in 1787 to establish a
congregation here.
In 1817 this small
group affiliated with
three other churches
and became the First
Presbyterian Church
of Wantage.
Second Plaque:
The Old Clove Church
Erected 1829
Was placed on the State
and National Registers of
Historic Places in 1982.
Marker is on New Jersey Route 23, on the right when traveling north.
