Pensacola Catholic High School
Pensacola Catholic High School, prior to 1958, was located on the corner of Garden and Baylen Streets.
In that year, the school moved to its current location on the corner of West Scott Street and W Street.
A decade later, Pensacola Catholic High School received an influx of African American students when St. Joseph High School, founded in 1942 to serve the Black and Creole communities in a then-segregated South, closed.
Through the years, a number of additions have been made to the campus, including the Brent Library and Media Center and the Ruth Johnson Chadbourne Chapel.
The school's mission is to create an educational environment where students learn what it means to be a responsible Christian.
Catholic High, which has been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, has four Core Values Commitment to Service, Commitment to Excellence, Personal Integrity, and Selfless Love.
The school actively participates in many service projects throughout the year that benefit the community, such as Make A Difference Day.
