Dating back to the 1860’s, this cemetery served as a final resting place for many of the famous of Napa Valley pioneers. It wasn’t until 1885 that this cemetery site was surveyed and was permanently established as a cemetery known today as Pioneer Cemetery.

Marker can be reached from Foothill Boulevard (California Route 128) east of Petrified Forest Road.
