Revolutionary War Site - Shabakunk Creek
Under the command of Colonel Edward Hand a successful delaying action, fought at the Shabakunk Creek, prevented British forces fron reaching Trenton before nightfall where the Second Battle of Trenton took place at the Assunpink Creek January 2, 1777.
Marker is on Lawrenceville Road (U.S. 206) 1 mile north of Princeton Pike, on the right.
