July 1 In position near Chambersburg Pike west of Herr's Tavern and firing when Union forces were visible. Enfiladed their line at one time in and near railroad cut.

July 2 Two guns took position here and were actively engaged under heavy fire of sharpshooters and artillery. The other two guns in reserve.

July 3 All the guns were actively engaged in this position.

July 4 Withdrew at evening to Marsh Creek on Fairfield Road.

Losses not reported in detail.

Marker is on West Confederate Avenue, on the right when traveling south.
