Site of the gates at the original entrance to Riversdale, or the Calvert Mansion. Built 1800–1803 by Baron Henri Joseph Stier of Belgium, as a wedding gift for his daughter Rosalie Eugenie who married George Calvert, June 11, 1799.

Marker is at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue (U.S. 1) and Oliver Street and Harrison Avenue, on the right when traveling north on Baltimore Avenue.
