The inventor and painter was born here Nov. 14, 1765. Famous for his steamboat "Clermont", he also invented canal machinery, a "diving boat", and torpedoes.
Marker is at the intersection of Robert Fulton Highway Rt 222 and Swift Road, on the right when traveling south on Robert Fulton Highway Rt 222.
