"Greater love hath no man than to
lay down his life for his fellow man"
This is a remnant of an iron girder from the World Trade Center in New York City. It is enshrined here in remembrance of those who gave the complete and final measure of courage and devotion. Their uncommon valor will serve as an enduring beacon guiding generations of future men and women who will also put the lives of others before their own.
May all who pause here remember them with reverence
and with renewed dedication to liberty and honor.
Marker is on Post Road (Business U.S. 51) south of School Drive, on the left when traveling south.
