These two original gate posts mark the entrance to a field once used by the Middle Family of Shakers, who resided in this vicinity.
This tablet erected September 21, 1948, commemorating the 126th anniversary of the North Union Society of Shakers.

Marker is at the intersection of Lee Road and Shaker Boulevard (Ohio Route 87), on the right when traveling south on Lee Road.
