Hardee's Corps,
Army of the Mississippi.
These regiments, in order as above, made an attack
over this ground at 2.30 p.m., April 6, 1862. Lieut.
Col. Dean, 7th Ark., was killed 300 feet to the left
of this tablet.
Shaver's brigade was not again engaged on Sunday.
Marker is on Sunken Road 0.1 miles east of Eastern Corinth Road, on the right when traveling east.
