Was Born at Norwich

Dec. 14. 1761

And Died May 26. 1851.

He was graduated at Yale College in 1781. Was a tutor in that institution from 1783 to 1786 when he entered on his profession as a lawyer. He was a representative from this state in the VIIIth Congress. A Judge of the Superior Court and Supreme Court of Errors from 1806 to 1817 and afterwards Mayor of the City of New Haven
