Site of the Battle of Clarksville
On Dec.3, 1839, during the Anti-Rent Wars, Sheriff Artcher and his posse marched from Albany to Clarksville. They met their first resistance here.
Marker is at the intersection of Cass Hill Road and Delaware Turnpike (New York Route 443), on the right when traveling north on Cass Hill Road.
