Smith and Squire Buildings
Smith and Squire Buildings, designed by Max Umbrecht and C.H. Webb, were built in 1900, and combined in a later renovation. The Steinberg Clothing Company occupied the original premises, which were redesigned as residential lofts in 1982 by Hewitt Daly, Architects.
Marker is on South Jackson Street near South 1st Avenue, on the left when traveling east.
