St Mary's Catholic Church
With the founding of the Greenville
Missions in 1852 this parish,
dedicated to Our Lady of the Sacred
Heart of Jesus, became the Mother
Church of Catholicism in the twelve
counties of Upstate South Carolina
which comprise the Piedmont Deanery
of the Diocese of Charleston.
