Sugarloaf Massacre
After an unsuccessful attack on Fort Augusta, Indians and Tories surprise a detachment of Northumberland Co. militia on Sept. 11, 1780. The site of the massacre is just beyond the town.
Marker is at the intersection of Pennsylvania Route 93 and Hidden Creek Court on State Route 93.
