“Sunnyhill Home”
Built by Dr. Fisk Holbrook Day, this residence is believed to have been designed in 1874 by prominent Milwaukee architect James Douglas. Once called “Wauwatosa’s most prominent citizen,” Dr. Day was a physician for the County Hospital, the Poor Farm and the Insane Asylum. He also conducted an extensive private practice and was a nationally renowned geologist.
Marker is on Milwaukee Avenue west of Day Court, on the right when traveling west.
