The Site of Fort Beane
This stone marks The Site of Fort Beane, built in 1832, as a refuge for the early settlers, at the time of the Blackhawk War.
Marker is at the intersection of Lincolnway East (U.S. 33) and Reynolds Street, on the right when traveling south on Lincolnway East.
