This cannon of the type used in the defense of Baltimore in the War of 1812, presented to St. John's College, the alma mater of Francis Scott Key, through the Peggy Stewart Tea Party Chapter, D.A.R., and the National Star-Spangled Banner Centennial Commission, September 14, 1914.

Marker can be reached from the intersection of College Avenue (Maryland Route 450) and Prince George Street, on the left when traveling east.
