This shell was fired into Vicksburg, Miss. by Union Troops in 1863. Presented to the City of Madison by the Widow of Dr. W. A. Collins, Assistant Surgeon of the Sixth Indiana.
Marker is on East Main Street west of Walnut Street, on the right when traveling east.
