Trussville Furnace
1889-1919
Operated on this site under the ownership of seven companies to produce foundry pig iron. Supplied pig iron during World War 1. Closed for the last time in the Spring of 1919. Dismantled in 1933, and the land sold in 1935 for a Federal Housing Project.
Marker is at the intersection of Parkway Drive and North Mall, in the median on Parkway Drive.
