Twitty's or Little Fort

Three Quarter Mile West

Site of the first fort in Kentucky. Built March 1775 by Daniel Boone and party. Named for William Twitty killed by Indians and buried by his slave Sam, near the fort.

Marker is at the intersection of Berea Road (U.S. 25/421) and Pace Ramsey Road, on the left when traveling south on Berea Road.
