Weapemeoc
The principal town of the Weapemeoc Indians, visited by Ralph Lane and his colonists in 1585-1586, stood near present-day Edenton.
Marker is at the intersection of West Queen Street (Business U.S. 17) and Dickinson Street, on the right when traveling east on West Queen Street.
