Welker's Battery,
"H" 1st MO.Lt.Art., W.H.L. Wallace's (2d) Div.,
Army of the Tennessee.
This battery, of two 10 pdr. and two 20 pdr. Parrotts occupied this position April 6, 1862 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. One section under Lt. Edwards advanced to west side of the Peach Orchard where it was engaged two hours.
Marker can be reached from Hornet's Nest Loop 0.1 miles south of Corinth-Pittsburg Road, on the left when traveling south.
