76th Ohio, 78th Ohio, 20th Ohio,
L. Wallace's (3d) Division.
This brigade was engaged here at about 11 a.m. April 7, 1862. At 12 m. the 20th and 78th were ordered to the right of the division and were engaged north of McDowell's headquarters. The 76th remained on the
left of its division and was engaged 1/2 mile south.
Marker can be reached from the intersection of Cavalry Road and Sherman Road, on the right when traveling west.
