Woodbridge Township

The first settlers arrived here in the mid-1600s after the land was purchased from the Lenni Lenape People. The township was chartered June 1, 1669 by King Charles II of England. Composed of ten separate towns, it remains the oldest continuing township in the State of N.J.

Marker is at the intersection of Main Street and Eleanor Place, on the right when traveling east on Main Street.
